Join Kids On The Colorado River to explore the river, desert, and build bonds with the Lake Havasu community.
Our free programs engage Lake Havasu’s youth in learning about the Colorado River and Mojave Desert, fostering environmental stewardship and safety.
The Annual River Program connects over 900 seventh graders each year with the Colorado River and their community through water safety, ecology, and history lessons at Lake Havasu State Park. Students enjoy hands-on activities and boat rides on the Dixie Belle.

The Desert Program connects eighth graders to the Mojave Desert and their community through geocaching, guided hikes, and wildlife education, reaching 400 students in 2024. It fosters appreciation for our desert environment and community ties.

Community Day is a free, all-ages event uniting families with their community through activities, raffles, and lunch, fostering environmental learning and strong community bonds in Lake Havasu City.
